Proposition 8

I am so glad these smiling happy faces are out there spreading the love around!

Look at the love dripping from his lips!

And the happiness true love has brought these women!

And the pure joy and peace in Christ this loving neighbor is feeling as he tries to vandalize private property!

And the trespassers!

this peace-loving rioter claims to have received a bloody nose during the conflict.  how great will be their sorrow …

here, people claiming to demand ‘equality’ show a selfish disregard for the law in interfering with traffic after having trespassed on private property, disturbed the peace, and engaged in fights with people who had a right to be there.

Despite claims of it being a ‘peaceful’ rally, it wasn’t. there was blood, there was screaming, there was a big sit-down-and-screw-traffic moment, there were arrests, crowds were told to disperse and did not, and so on and so forth.

It is irritating that the rioters would have singled out the LDS church … and the LDS temple, but at the same time, if you’re a believer … it is a pretty strong image seeing the throngs of people deceived and led into corruption by the devil swarming around outside the gates of a Temple of God.  For all their attempts to corrupt and twist around the words of the Bible (“love thy neighbor”, “what is Christlike about H8?”), they were not displaying any Christlike behavior themselves in marching hatefully and with prejudice against one particular faith.

There are so many scriptures about this kind of thing … this corruption … this ‘calling evil good and good evil’, this men will be lovers of their own selves, proud, covetous, boasters, blasphemers, lovers of men more than lovers of God” …

In the same way people think they are ‘evolved’ and ‘free thinking’ when they use their specific arguments about ‘organized religion’, these people … thinking they are a part of some new enlightened forward-thinking movement are simply falling right into place in the prophecy of the kinds of things that are to be signs of the last days.  it is eerie watching them … stepping like zombies into the places foretold by prophets of God thousands of years ago.  It makes me sad to think any of these could be my brothers or sisters … that they don’t know that the paths they are walking are so obvious and wrong.

i started this post angry, but i think i want to go pray for them.
