“”The U.S. is the great enemy of mankind!” raved Ernesto “Che” Guevara in 1961. “Against those hyenas there is no option but extermination. We will bring the war to the imperialist enemies’ very home, to his places of work and recreation. The imperialist enemy must feel like a hunted animal wherever he moves. Thus we’ll destroy him! We must keep our hatred against them (the U.S.) alive and fan it to paroxysms!” – Che Guevara
In Obama’s Houston HQ in February 2008:
“No, that’s not a Texas state flag with a picture of Obama on it. It’s the flag of the Castro-led Cuba regime, with Che Guevara’s face superimposed on the side. A Fox report from Houston captured this image as it showed Obama supporters celebrating his momentum after Super Tuesday.
Does Obama know his Houston supporters honor a terrorist in his campaign office? I’m sure he doesn’t. However, it would behoove him to ensure that the flag gets taken down and that he renounces any affinity for Che and the Fidel Castro regime. (via Jim Geraghty)”

“The Fox TV affiliate in Houston has captured images of a volunteer in a campaign office for Democratic presidential candidate barack obama, working in front of a flag featuring the image of Che Guevara, the South American revolutionary who became Fidel Castro’s executioner after the communist takeover in Cuba. And while the Obama campaign has issued a statement placing a modest distance between the campaign and its “volunteers,” the issue of such an image on display in an office operating on behalf of a man hoping to be commander in chief of the world’s last remaining superpower is raising alarms.”
“This is going to go viral quite quickly so might as well jump on the train. Check out this news report from a Fox channel in Houston. They film a bit in a brand spanking new Obama campaign office in Houston and what do you see on the wall? A flag with a picture of the murderer Che Guevara. But hey, the man was only responsible for the execution of thousands of political prisoners, imprisoned because they opposed Fidel. He was key in setting up the Castro forced labor camps and secret police and in his spare time took in the sport of torture those same political prisoners, some of them children.”
Rebels and activists the world over still take inspiration from Guevara. But the image has lost something; Che’s face on a poster in 1968 isn’t quite the same thing as it is on a mousepad 40 years later. Perhaps it is precisely that loss — the shedding of Che’s radicalism and ideological rigor — that renders him so supremely marketable today. Things are not going well these days. Kids don’t want revolution so much as, um, something different.
So it shouldn’t be a surprise that L.A. artist Shepard Fairey, in his design for a Sen. Barack Obama poster, looked to Korda’s Che. Fairey’s Obama is not wearing a beret, and he’s looking left instead of right, but his face tilts at the same angle as Che’s. His jaw is set with the same willfulness and strength, and he too is gazing recognizably upward into the future (hasta la victoria siempre . . . ). Obama’s eyes, though, are filled not with righteous anger but with vague and lofty hope.

[Guevara] was a psychopath with a central role in Cuba’s 1961 mass executions in the “year of the wall.” Guevara signed at least 600 death warrants and executed children against firing squad walls; he was responsible for at least 2,000 deaths.
After that, the Argentine-born communist organized Cuba’s gulag. His violence was so over the top it scared even Castro, who eventually sent him away to fight mercenary wars in Africa.

probably not fair to include this one, because it is one of many spoofs, but it is a good example of how widespread the blatant foolishness is/was/whatever.
this one, however, IS fair. they are flags waved at a pro-Obama rally.
and this: Not Che, but another famous communist. please read:
Beware Charismatic Men Who Preach ‘Change’
Each year I get to celebrate Independence Day twice. On June 30 I celebrate my independence day and on July 4 I celebrate America’s. This year is special, because it marks the 40th anniversary of my independence.
On June 30, 1968, I escaped Communist Cuba and a few months later I was in the United States to stay. That I happened to arrive in Richmond on Thanksgiving Day is just part of the story, but I digress.
I’ve thought a lot about the anniversary this year. The election-year rhetoric has made me think a lot about Cuba and what transpired there. In the late 1950s, most Cubans thought Cuba needed a change, and they were right. So when a young leader came along, every Cuban was at least receptive.
When the young leader spoke eloquently and passionately and denounced the old system, the press fell in love with him. They never questioned who his friends were or what he really believed in. When he said he would help the farmers and the poor and bring free medical care and education to all, everyone followed. When he said he would bring justice and equality to all, everyone said “Praise the Lord.” And when the young leader said, “I will be for change and I’ll bring you change,” everyone yelled, “Viva Fidel!”
But nobody asked about the change, so by the time the executioner’s guns went silent the people’s guns had been taken away. By the time everyone was equal, they were equally poor, hungry, and oppressed. By the time everyone received their free education it was worth nothing. By the time the press noticed, it was too late, because they were now working for him. By the time the change was finally implemented Cuba had been knocked down a couple of notches to Third-World status. By the time the change was over more than a million people had taken to boats, rafts, and inner tubes. You can call those who made it ashore anywhere else in the world the most fortunate Cubans. And now I’m back to the beginning of my story.
Luckily, we would never fall in America for a young leader who promised change without asking, what change? How will you carry it out? What will it cost America?

the particular blog also has a really nice (and relevant) bit of unveiling for readers who read the Obama book:
What Barack Obama hid from his readers
Barack Obama likes to talk about something he calls “economic justice.”
And “restoring fairness to the economy.”*
Why would Obama promote divisiveness and class envy?
In his book “Dreams From My Father”, Obama reveals his childhood mentor was a man he cryptically refers to only as “Frank.”
“Frank” was infamous communist Frank Marshall Davis, who fled Chicago after the FBI and Congress began investigating him.
Obama followed in Davis’ footsteps, becoming a “community organizer” in Chicago… with disastrous results.
His boss was a man named Gerald Kellman, whose identity Obama also tries to disguise in his book. Kellman and Saul “The Red” Alinsky were infamous Chicago socialists; Alinsky authored “Rules for Radicals” and advocated the overthrow of the U.S. government.
And though his own book is dedicated to his memory, Obama also omits his father’s feverish communist leanings.
Barack Hussein Obama Sr. challenged Kenya’s pro-Western government for being insufficiently socialist. “Theoretically, there is nothing that can stop the government from taxing 100% of income so long as the people get benefits from the government commensurate with their income which is taxed,” Obama Sr. wrote.
Among Obama’s first campaign sponsors were William Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn; both are unrepentant terrorists and self-admitted communists who believe that the U.S. government must be toppled.
Though he’s written two books about his life, Obama hid his father’s background and his own career-long affiliations with radical socialists and communists. All were striving together for “economic justice” and class warfare as unreconstructed Communists.
amazing! so there are waaaaaaaaaaaaay more terrorist, socialist and communist links to Obama than just Ayers and that PLO guy and that creepy leader of Iran! amazing!
BTW, I hope you had a chance to read Michelle Obama’s racist thesis
here’s a picture of Bill Ayers desecrating the United States flag while he was working with Obama on the woods foundation at the time.
i need to get back to work now, so have fun preparing for your first excursion into communism!
